A memorable headline with clever wordplay? If you want something jokey, I've got a punning plan (see what I did there?). Succinct, punchy body copy is a must. Beacuse I usually also design the ads I write, there's a synergy of text and image.
As a student I studied journalism and edited the college newspaper. I have written many reviews and articles over the years, especially music reviews. I have also had more sober articles published in trade magazines, most recently in Digital Printer magazine

“As an agency dealing with B2B and B2C customers, we need versatility in a writer, and we have found Jim to be the ideal freelance. He’s good at coming up with ideas and snappy headlines for our ads, but equally adept at all the other writing tasks we have given him, such as press releases or general copy. He is particularly good at taking badly written ideas sent to us by clients and turning them into legible, workable prose."
